In the historic old town with its half-timbered houses one can experience the long history of this hanseatic town. The ancient provost's parish church from the 13th century or one of Germany's oldest town halls are well worth a visit. Even parts of the city wall do still exist.
The yearly cultural highlight is the Brilon music summer "Live, Free and Outside", which takes place from July 13th to August 4th fascinating numerous visitors with its rich offer of activities.
Whatever it is you want: leisure, sport, culture, loud or quiet - here you can experience it all to your heart's desire!

Experience the beautiful environments with magical forests and mystical landscapes by walking on well signposted paths, e.g. on the "Sauerland-Waldroute" or the "Briloner Kammweg". Discover springs like the Möhne-spring and others; get to know the unique flora and fauna of this wonderfully rich region.
Especially the winter in the Sauerland has its charms: make use of 33 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails, immerse yourself in the wonderful world of skiing or enjoy fairytale walks in the snowy forests.
On day trips by car to the surrounding areas you can explore other sights of the "land of a thousand mountains". With the SauerlandCard, which you automatically get for free during your stay with us, you can travel the Sauerland by bus or train for free.
